The recipe is quite simple really. Two pieces fresh papaya leaves (use only the leafy part, remove the stalks), wash clean, pound and squeeze out the juice. That should yield approximately 2 tablespoons of bitter juice to be taken as it is. Do not boil or dilute with water. One serving per day is recommended.

Also recommended that you grow your own papaya tree, just in case. Just kidding! But not a bad idea, don’t you think?

It’s been a little over a month now since Michael Jackson died, but even in death, there is no peace for the king of pop. The police, in trying to solve the mystery of his sudden death, are looking into his medical history of prescription drug abuse. Suddenly, skeletons are dragged out of his closet, thanks or no thanks to the people who worked for him – chauffeurs, security personnel, and others around him spilling their guts.

Even though I wasn’t a huge Michael Jackson fan when he was alive, I find myself really troubled by his abrupt exit from this world. There’s no denying he was strange in many ways, but then, so are a lot of other people out there in the big wide world, only none as famous  as Michael Jackson. Anyway, whatever, from all accounts, he was a kind and generous person. And very forgiving. How do I know that? Well, didn’t his sister La Toya declare him a pedophile when he was on trial for child molestation way back in 1993? Michael forgave her, even though she probably drove the final nail into the coffin of his musical career.  I mean, it was bad enough with many assuming him guilty at the time, but to have his own flesh and blood sister accusing him publicly, how do you think that helped further his career? I read somewhere that she did that for money.

She then alleged in a sensational interview not too long ago, that  a “shadowy entourage” plotted the murder of her beloved brother. As everyone knows, with La Toya, it’s all about the big “M” too,  just like the “shadowy entourage” she talks about. She, apparently, was paid an undisclosed sum for that  interview with the London Daily Mail reporter Caroline Graham. And striking while the iron’s hot, she’s reportedly recording an album as a tribute to her famous brother.  More money.

So who killed Michael Jackson or was responsible for his demise?   Not till the autopsy and toxicology results are revealed, it is still speculation. But from everything I’ve read so far, one point stands out like a sore thumb to me. It may not have been pre-meditated murder, but the way I see it, all those people who were hanging around him certainly contributed in a big way to his death. They helped him get a hold of the much talked about Diprivan, Xanax, and whatever else he wanted, even though they knew he was endangering himself on those drugs. Especially the doctor who was caring for him at the time – he should have known better. Questions: Why did he waste precious minutes trying to revive Michael when he should have called 911 right away, knowing as he did what medication Michael had taken/been given? And why didn’t he have Narcan on him? What kind of a doctor is he? And why did he go into hiding soon after Michael’s death?  Fishy, fishy, fishy!

As for his dermatologist and long time “friend”, Arnold Klein, what can I say? With friends like him, who needs enemies? I saw him in his interview on Larry King Live and it irked me that he was hedging around when Larry asked if he is the biological father of Michael’s two older kids. What kind of an answer is “As far as I know, I’m not the father .” Why didn’t he just say a flat “No, I’m not.” Why leave room for further speculation? What intention or motive lies behind his shifty answer to a straight-forward question? Without a doubt, this man has alot of skeletons in his closet where Michael Jackson is concerned. I’m sorry, but I don’t trust the man.

It is just so very sad that for all the kind, loving and generous person he was, Michael Jackson sure surrounded himself with a bunch of shifty ‘yes-man’ characters calling themselves his “close and long time friends“, who should have been looking out for him and his best interests, but it seems that they were leeching off him and looking out for their own best interests instead. That’s right, give the man what he wants so they get what they want out of him. And now the man’s dead.

I’m not here to judge how the world is reacting to Michael Jackson’s death, nor to dictate how they should react. In so many ways, the media and the tabloids played a huge part in the past in helping destroy Michael Jackson by their incessant and sometimes biased coverage of his child molestation trials which in turn fueled negative public opinion of him. It disgusts me that, now that MJ’s dead and gone, all of a sudden, they are full of stories about what a lonely soul he was, how misunderstood he was, what a humanitarian he was, his naivete about being around children, and so on. Isn’t it a bit late in the day now to try to understand Michael Jackson the human being as opposed to the harsh judgement of Wacko Jacko the king of pop?

I’m praying that this whole unpleasant saga surrounding his death will come to an end soon. I pray with all my heart that everyone will leave his kids alone and stop digging up dirt about who their real biological father is, et cetera. Michael’s kids are dealing with the loss of their much beloved father, so for heaven’s sake, they don’t need someone telling them their father is someone other than Michael Jackson. What does it benefit the world to know that Michael is or is  not their biological father? Is it something to smirk about while the lives of his kids are further shattered? I say enough is enough. Please let Michael rest in peace. And may justice be meted out to those responsible for the untimely death of the king of pop.

The Evil Duo

Of late, its been really depressing reading or watching the news. First up was the sudden and shocking death of Michael Jackson, then Farah Fawcett, the rioting in China and Iran, and just last week, the bombing of 2 international hotels in Indonesia. But what  really pissed me off no end is the disgusting tale of a woman and her boyfriend who locked up her 3 children (from different relationships) in the bathroom of their rented motel room somewhere in Texas,  for close to a year! The poor kids ranging from 5 to 11years old were starved, emaciated, dirty and unkempt from neglect by this horrendous couple from hell. The 11 year old girl had been raped repeatedly over a period of 3 years – 3 years!  by her mother’s boyfriend! What kind of a mother would do that  or allow such torture to her own children? I shudder to think that she’s probably not even human, either that or she does not possess any conscience. How sick is that? Her excuse? She  was trapped! Ya right! She went to work everyday to support the leech she lived with, so don’t tell me there was not even a single opportunity for her to do the Houdini on her boyfriend?  What a load of BS! I hope she stays in prison forever and ever and ever. As for that evil boyfriend of hers, he ought to be hanged!

No child in the world should ever have mothers like that. Mothers are supposed to protect their offspring, for heaven’s sake!  And this woman’s lawyer said its hard for people who haven’t endured abusive relationships to understand the predicament his client was in. Yeah, tell me about it – I was married for 15 years to an abusive man, who one day, in a drunken stupor, almost killed me and my daughter (4years old at the time) with a machete!  Had I stayed, I wouldn’t be here to write this blog today. If there’s a will, there’s a way.  So to Abneris Santiago, the woman in question, I say “cut the crap!”

As I’ve said before, I’m not a die-hard MJ fan, but this guy was somebody’s son, father, brother, uncle, best friend and an extremely well-known celebrity in and outside of the US of A. And it’s not as if Oprah didn’t know him, so is it so hard for her to offer her condolences to the bereaved family? For a fellow human being whom she knew? Even strangers from around the world blogged and twittered their comments, feelings,  and condolences.  All that talk about being kind and humane, so on, so forth,  I can see now why so many are calling her a hypocrite!

Whether you like him or not, there’s no denying that Michael Jackson’s contribution to the music industry has been phenomenal  and  far-reaching, will be long lasting,  and long remembered long after he’s gone.

I hope Oprah’s success has not turned her into some self-important, high and mighty judge of moral character. I don’t know for a FACT that Michael Jackson was a child molester because I didn’t hide under his bed with a tape recorder. I believe the law says one is innocent till proven guilty and as we know, MJ was found NOT quilty as charged.  And that’s that. I believe he was a victim of some greedy scumbags. And if he was guilty, then he’s right now answering to God for his actions, so who are we to judge him? Let he who has NO sin cast the first stone. May the world let Michael rest in peace and dear Oprah, do please come down off that high horse you’ve put yourself on.

Anyway, back to the death of Michael Jackson. I won’t say I was a great fan of his. I do enjoy listening to most of his songs, notably “Billie Jean”, “Ben”, “I’ll Be There”, the “Thriller” album and others. He was definitely a very talented and gifted performer in his craft. No doubt about that. Truly a great loss to the entertainment industry as well as his millions of fans worldwide.

As a mother, I feel deeply for Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson. It’s exceedingly traumatic and heart-breaking to lose a son, never mind that he was a superstar. Losing someone so close to you is hard enough to deal with and here’s this poor woman having to deal with her grief with the entire world at her doorstep! Dear God, please give her the strength to go through each day and may the world allow this grieving family to grieve without the cameras staring in their faces.
